i’m still waiting for my interview letter from nvc , will keep u guys update

How can the nvc move the 2a back 3 years to 01 2008 is beyond me…

Finally I got my clearance, but embassy says that because of retrogression of Visa Bulletin, there are no visa for me.

(PD: 06 Jan 2001, F4)

Dear Mehul,

Unfortunately situation is somehow complicated now and nobody can answer your question. You see, in September 2010 my case was current. I passed all steps of completing the case, medical check, interview, and also FBI check, but I have to still wait until my case to be current “again” in the damned Visa Bulletin!

Guys, sorry to say this, but I think we all were played out by Immigration. A retrogression of that magnitude can only mean one of 2 things:
A. Things were messed things up somehow in their computer system.
B. They needed money and moved up the date to get many more people applying, with the curious coincidence that the fees went up at the time

Sorry if I sound cynical, but I’d like to hear some other explanation, if anyone has any.

@mehul I think you’ll have to wait about 1 and a half years, because the current priority date is Jan/00, which is 1.5 years before your priority date.

Does anyone here knows how long does it take to process the AOS? I sent all the forms and proof of documentations on 2/2/2011? It should be arrive at the NVC on 2/5/2011. Anyone, please? Thank you.

totally agree with you,either the goverment wanted extra cash or computer era,i have been in touch with our congrassman and they will not even give an explanation nor will the nvc,all they keep saying to me is to apply to become a us citizen as this will be quicker than waiting for the visa for my wife from london…

we are same from f3 catagory with pd may’2003, my parents are above 62 yrs. they are medicaly unfit but they have to work till our file is opene for visa. now this retrogession hearts very much to them, we can’t understand the things, let’s god do the things right.it takes about 9 yrs. what’s meaning.

is any one get any leter for choice of agent or furthur in f3 catagory.

Does any one knows that if a petitioner is accepting SSI? Is it true that she can’t petition anyone of her kids? But someone is willing to help her for her affidavit of support if in case.

@sarah stone, please , please inform in this forum whenever u got medical or appointment letter. as we r also april2002 pd and f3 category. as my case also completed since 4 months

my priority date is dec. 2001, F2B category. submitted all necessary documents, paid all the fees, did my medical & fingerprinting but i dont have an interview date yet. does that mean i got affected by the retrogression? and if so, if my PD becomes current again do i have to repeat the process & pay the fees all over again?

after the biometrics were taken what is usually the next step?

After 10 years and paid all fees and penalty under the law on 245i, I got my interview yesterday
I have to still wait until my case to be current “again” in the bulletin. I’m so desapointed, I cannot leave the country to see my family and they forced us to work illegally. Completely crazy.

No movement for F4 bad news for 2A, retrogression another year.

What is going on! so sad F4 didn’t move.

would you please inform me if you can estimate how long we should be waiting according to our priority date 23/NOV/2003 family 3rd. if this retrogression happens again we wont tolerate it again because we have been far from our family for about 8 years.

My cousin sharon, her mother Jean is getting SSI becasue she has since retired. However, Jean had filed for her kids Ian and Sean years before. and when the papers came through in 2007 her niece Roseanne filled an affidavit of support I-864 to help the kids Ian and Sean. Jean the mother did an I-134 also. Jean also got a get a letter from ssi saying how much she is getting monthly or yearly. Jean kids are in New York now.
