They are going to contact you and your petitioner one or two months before the visa bulletin for you category become current(I think this month or next month). They will ask you to fill the form of DS-3032 which the will send to you and they are going to ask your petitioner to pay the Affidavit of Support (AOS) fee bill. Then you should follow their instruction.

I did contact earlier to NVC, but they told me in the cases of Adjustment of status; the case remains with USCIS office they do not forward to NVC. So, v need to contact USCIS local office where it filed.
To talk to them regarding case or address they need petioner and myself sametime.
So, in case of Adjustment also they will send DS forms to petioner right!!!

Just to add though that according to the bulletins, my case with PD 8 March 2004 would not be current until January’s Bulletin, and I called the NVC early November 2009 and was told that my case had just become current. I say that to say there is a possibility the ANP’s case could be current and he may be able to get pertinent information at this time. It would not hurt to call, the worst he could hear is that the case is not yet current.
1) If your petitioner applied for you when you already were in the USA (in 2001), that means USCIS already knew that you are going to adjust your status and in this cases they will not send your file to NVC, they will send only the approval notice to the NVC and they keep your file at USCIS until the visa becomes current on visa bulletin. You should know that USCIS will not accept any application of adjustment until the visa become current. In this case the NVC will not contact you and you should contact the USCIS by pone or by going to their office in your area to ask them about the applications that you should send to them (you can read that in their web site). Be careful don’t send any application for adjustment until your visa be current otherwise The USCIS will reject the application and they will ask you to apply again when your visa become current and that consuming for time and money.
2) If you were outside the USA at when the petitioner applied for you that means he/she chose the consular process. In this case the USCIS already sent your visa to NVC and in this case the NVC will contact you and your petitioner to give you the choice to adjust the case or to apply to the consular process in your country, so they will send you DS form.

I know what you mean, calling doest hurt at all. I called them in November and they gave told me that my visa was current when it wasn’t. I called them for 2nd time and they told me it is not current yet. Some time they assume the applicant calls them and his/her visa is current when it is not because the applicant doesn’t clarify the priority date for them or because the person who answer didn’t make double check on the priority date and visa bulletin. So in every time they will answer the questions but the applicant should ask clear question.

hi friends i would like to know something i’m kind of worried when my dad been petition for us i had to send my birth certificate my daughter own as well as my husband also our married certificate but when i send my husband birth certificate i wasn’t aware or my husband that his birth certificate had some wrong info because that is the birth certifcate he been using all the time base on the info he been give to the registrar here he thought his mom and dad been marry which they wasn’t and his father didn’t sign for him is only recently we know that he had to get a new birth certificate to send up because the old one he was using before he was using all the time to transact his business etc so his when he got the new one one then we notice the info wasn’t right and when we ask they say that his father didn’t sign for him when he was born and he have to use a deep pool so we submit that i want to know if that would be a problem for him can anyone realte to this if they been through something like this thanks.

After your case is complete usually a month later they will send you the appointment letter (depending on the load of cases in your country). Your appointment will be about 45 days from the time you get the letter. I hope this information helps.

please is here any one who can answer my question?today i got an e-mail from nvc asking me to provide a proof of relationship between a household member and my sponsor.the document should be presented at the day of the interview.I already got a checklist letter from nvc in which i was asked to provide the same thing and i sent them household member’s birth certaficate.please if someone has any useful information share it with me and u will be highly appreciated.
What will happen to most of us whose visa screen will expire soon? We’ve been waiting for so long already and we’ve been renewing our license and visa screen and we’ve spent so much already, yet we are still here in the philippines…Pls. have mercy on us…
