Question: There is about 23 days for my PD to become current on the visa bulletin fam 1st. Lets say the january bulletin shows my pd current, how soon should I expect an interview letter, or will I get it before the january bulletin is published. What is the notice that one receives., or do I have to wait more after my pd is current. Does anyone know how it works. Please no guesses because that just makes it more confusing.

  • 8 MISSY // Nov 11, 2008 at 5:23 am

can anyone give me any advice. my priority date is current. i am eb3 ROW skilled workers and professionals. NVC has my case and they are doing administrative processing on my case. My case has been current for a little over a month now and I still have heard nothing. I am doing counselor processing. Any hope for me?

  • 9 Maria // Nov 11, 2008 at 3:21 pm

    Dear Missy

You need to waite 60 days after you PD and Processing time for I-485 at NVS is current to heard from them . Read on USCIS web the link ” My case is pending” them read ” if your case is pending outside our current processing time”. I hope this can help you .

  • 10 MISSY // Nov 11, 2008 at 10:00 pm

thank you marie. 60 days ok thanks. now im not so worried….thank god….my case is CURRENT and in the current time and I did counselor processing now 1-485 I will be interviewing outside the usa in my US. CONSULATE.

  • 11 emilia // Nov 11, 2008 at 10:11 pm

    Maria,
Do you know if it is 60 days for all pending applications or just EB3. My priority date is almost current for Family 1st, would I also have to wait 60 days after that?

  • 12 MISSY // Nov 11, 2008 at 11:34 pm

emilia im not sure. but my priority date for eb3 row has been current for 41 days now and im still waiting and I did counselor processing. So I think its safe to assume ud probably have to wait a couple of months before any fire works…hahah…good luck friend…and ill keep u in my prayers like I do everyone…:-)

  • 13 MISSY // Nov 11, 2008 at 11:36 pm

    MARIA

So do u have any idea what is going to happen with my case next? Like I said prviously I have done couselor processing in EB3 ROW and iv been current for over a month…..hmmm any ideas? thank you and ill pray for u…:-)

  • 14 Pooyan // Nov 12, 2008 at 7:18 am

Hello all. My case is F3 and I have something like 7 months to become current. So many people say something like 6 months prior to becoming current, you will receive a letter from NVC. I don’t have any idea what this letter is anyhow. But this is what I’ve heard. My first question is that if this what I have heard is true or not? Secondly when my PD becomes current, should I still wait for some other events to happen or I can consider my case completed? Friends, please give me accurate answers, because I’m going to count on your words. Thanks in advance. Hope you all get to US the soonest ;).

  • 15 emilia // Nov 12, 2008 at 10:41 am

thank you missy. It is so frustrating as you know. I am going crazy until my date becomes current. 22 days only.
    thank you for your reply

  • 16 MISSY // Nov 12, 2008 at 5:46 pm

emilia i know the feelin…:-( my date has been current for over a month now and im still waiting….just realx bc even when ur date becomes current they make take another few weeks….no point in making yourself crazy…good luck!

  • 20 Maria // Nov 13, 2008 at 11:24 pm

    Pooyan

After your PD and Processing time for your I-485 are current , you will receive a notification letter from USCIS saying your case has been approved . If after 60 day have not receive any letter from USCIS you need to call USCIS customer Services and ask then to reach yor case status.

  • 21 Maria // Nov 13, 2008 at 11:33 pm

    Emilia

If you have not recieved any notification or e-mail frorm USCIS and your application date is showing current in procesing time at the services center where your case is, then you need to waite 60 days after your date is current before call USCIS customer service to reach your case or ask your lawyer to call them.

  • 22 caro brown // Nov 14, 2008 at 12:37 am

my priority date is Nov 24 2000 f3 category i have received letter of approval two years ago. i have not received any more correspondence from the national visa center can any one tell me when i can expect to hear more from the national visa center seeing that DEC 08 bulletin is showing July 22 2008

  • 23 Maria // Nov 14, 2008 at 8:32 pm

    Caro brown

On DEC08 Bulletin F3 PD is Jul22,2000. Please check again. You need to waite until reach Nov 24,2003. If your receive a letter before , maybe the F3 PD was current back them but now is not. You need to waite again.

  • 24 Maria // Nov 14, 2008 at 8:36 pm

    CARO BROWN

I am sorry for my English grammar mistakes.

  • 26 caro brown // Nov 15, 2008 at 1:23 am

maria the letter that i received two years ago was from Vermont processing center stating that my visa petition was approved and was sent to the national visa center but there is no visa at that time
my understanding is because my priority date is nov24 2000 f3 category and seeing DEC 08 bulletin is july 22 2000 i am four month away from my visa becoming current all of this dependent on monthly movement of visa bulletin seeing that i am almost 4 four month away should i be hearing from the national visa center ?

  • 27 Dyno // Nov 16, 2008 at 8:44 am

    Maria,
Missy is undergoing consular processing, not AOS.

    Missy,
Were you declared documentarily qualified by the NVC already? I know of people from EB3 who were also current and were already interviewed within a month. I’m surprised you haven’t received your packet4 yet. Well, I suggest you call NVC so that you can get some info and updates regarding your case.

  • 28 sachin babbalkar // Nov 16, 2008 at 9:30 am

hello everybody, mine is F-3 cacegory and pd is sep.2000. can anyone provide me an information as when should i expect the choice of address and agent form from the NVC and how long does the process would take to complete ? does pd showed in the approval form is the date of availibility of a visa? december bulletin showed some improvement as it moved for 3 weeks, showing july 22,2000.may god bless everybody those wating for years and years to meet their near and dear one who stays thousands of kilometers away to get the visa soon.

  • 29 Giuditta // Nov 17, 2008 at 12:11 pm

Hello everyone! I hope someone could enlighten me on these questions I have. I am under EB3 Philippines with a PD of April 2006. I know all of us have been waiting patiently but I am getting really desperate that I am willing to try anything just to be able to get there. I am thinking about trying a K1/ fiance visa because I believe I could go to the US faster. Now my question is, would this concurrent application of 2 visas affect the other in any way? Would I get questioned by the Consul for having 2 visa applications? I really need answers. Thanks!

  • 30 chigozie // Nov 17, 2008 at 1:31 pm

I do not know how to navigate the bulletin to figure out the status of myI130 application for my brothers. My brothers have a priority date of July 2000. how long do they expect to wait for a visa? They will be immigrating from Nigeria.

  • 31 kk // Nov 17, 2008 at 7:16 pm

What does the above screenshot actually mean ?

  • 32 emilia // Nov 17, 2008 at 8:53 pm

    Giuditta,
once you send a second petition, your first one becomes automatically void. You cannot have two active petiotions/applications at one time.

  • 33 jainish // Nov 18, 2008 at 5:47 am

WHERE IS MY VISA DATE BECAUSE I M ONLY ALONE PERSON IN LIVE IN INDIA RATHER THAN VISA CALL NOBODY TAKE CARE ME PLESA GIVE ME ANSWER I COMPLETE 22 YEARS IN APRIL 2008

  • 34 MISSY // Nov 19, 2008 at 9:23 pm

    DYNO,

Thanks. Yes I know. That’s why Im so frustrated. I have not received a thing from them. Not a single letter not even a fee bill…:-( Everytime I call the NVC they tell me that it is going through administrative processing whhcih is what they do. Its their method of reviewing the case and double checking etc. However its been almost 7 weeks that my date is current. But all they keep saying is their reviewing the case, it could take any amount of time. Chances are by the time their done with this review and send me anything ill be hit by some retrogression. Iv pretty much had it with this process Im starting to look into other options at this point.

  • 35 Bong // Nov 19, 2008 at 10:41 pm

    Hi Everybody,

I’m EB3 Phils, Filed I-485 and I-I140 in July 2007 concurrent filing, My I-140 was approved few weeks back. Hope there is no more retrogression as my lawyer told me to wait for another 6-9 months before I-485 approval (god’s will)

  • 36 Giuditta // Nov 21, 2008 at 11:55 am

Thanks Emilia! I have another question though. Is that also applicable for a working or H1B visa? In the past I attempted to apply in an agency which promised us an H1B visa in a matter of weeks. The people there told us that it is possible to have concurrent visa petitions, meaning we could still keep our EB3 petition and have the working visa. That way, once our PD is reached or retrogression is over, our H1b visas would be automatically converted to a permanent resident visa. I don’t really know if that is possible so I am confused. Thanks for the help again. :)

  • 38 Pooyan // Nov 22, 2008 at 8:22 am

    CARO BROWN,

Hello. You said you have only 4 months to have your case CURRENT. I am in the same category F3 and I have 7 months to have my case CURRENT. Please let me know if you have received any letter from NVC? Because I’ve heard that 6 months prior to your case becoming current, you will receive a letter from NVC. Thanks in advance.

  • 39 carlos brown // Nov 22, 2008 at 8:54 pm

pooyan i have not received any letter from the national visa centere but i have written to them and they reply and told me that petition is not eligible for further processing and my petition will be retained at the NVC until a visa number is available i don’t know if is because of the slow movement in the f3 catogories why the national visa center is so tardy in starting the final process for visa petition i hope that some one can write and give more information

  • 40 Pret // Nov 24, 2008 at 5:18 am

Hi everybody. Im on EB3 category (Phil ) and I’m currently here in the US . I Reapplied for my I485 on 8/07. The reason was my 1st application last 2005 for 1485 got denied because my former lawyer messed up with the dates (very frustrating!!!). My I140 got approved last 2005 though. My work permit extension (for the 1st application) never came since, of course, my I485 got denied. But now with my reApplication, they (USCIS) extended my work permit. IS THIS A GOOD SIGN? Approximately, how long should I wait to hear from the USCIS base on my PD?Can any shed a light for me? Hope we will all hear a good news with our cases from the USCIS SOON. God bless us all!

  • 41 caro brown // Nov 24, 2008 at 5:31 pm

pooyan i have not received a letter from national visa center but i have written to them and was told that my visa petition is no ready for further processing at this time i dont know if is because the bulletin in the f3 category is moving so slow that cause the national visa center is tardy in processing people with priority date that is near

  • 42 Pooyan // Nov 25, 2008 at 8:45 am

Caro thanks for your response. I think since our cases are too familiaer, we can have a good communication in here. Thanks anyway.

  • 43 popatlal // Nov 28, 2008 at 8:55 pm
