What is the Problem with F3 Category? Please if anyone has an idea, share your ideas. My PD is Feb. 15, 2001, that would be 6 months and 15 days from today. How long should I be waiting?

    Dear John,

Am from the Philippines, my Priority Date is July 1998 under F2B visa. My father, who is a green card holder stays at Sacramento California. He is not working eversince he suffered from stroke (3 times). Will it affect my petition for visa? Is it necessary for the petitioner to be employed when the cut-off date reaches the PD? Will my father’s employment/non-employment affects the visa interview?

Thanks John and hope to receive your reply soon….

    Cheers,
    BP07

  20. Linda
    December 30th, 2008 at 04:21 | #20

Well Omid you have to get an appointment to go for an interview and if you qualify only then you will receive your visa. But I don’t know how long it takes to be called for an interview when your case is current that is my question i hope someone answers.

    Hello! Uncle SAM,
I don’t quite understand, why to date my nieces and nephews have not been given appointment for interviews or visas? I pettitioned my brother in 1979 together with his siblings, minors at that time and my brother was admitted in the US in Jan. 2000 after 21 years waiting leaving his children behind because they are no longer minors. He repetitioned them in April 2000 F2 categor, Philippens. How long his children (unmarried) have to wait before they can have appointment letters. Please advise. Thanks,
    Noe

    Hi John,

I am a nurse in the Philippines,EB3. My PD is currently within the visa bulletin 01/2009. I am waiting for my packet 4 when I received a notice from NVC that my petition was sent back to USCIS. After long years of waiting……! Would I call/write USCIS/NVC and ask the reason for this? My agent does not have any idea why it was returned back.Pls advise.

Linda, thank you for the information. The January 2009 bulletin however shows 01 Sept. 1997 for category F2-B, Philippines. It seems to me this will take another 3 to 4 years waiting.

    Hi,
I just want to know if it will affect my pending petition from my parents. I have been petitioned by my parents 10yrs ago. Recently, I have been denied twice by the us embassy here in manila using the Training visa (courtesy of my employer’s). Will that affect my pending petition?
    Thanks!

I am working in Saudi Arabia on Visit Visa basis from 29 12 2008 i have came here on visit basis on behalf of a company and working there. Co have given a return ticket on 31 march 09. Company people are saying that they will convert into resident visa within 3 months or i have to go back to India after 3 months and again i have to come on original visa. What about bringing the family to KSA after converting into resident visa only is is possible to bring my family or i can bring on visit basis before convertion into my original visa.

    Hi There,
I just want to know why a petionner with an application from a relative that is not US Citizen cannot be allowed/granted temporary employement (EAD) if there are in the US (legally (any form)) while waiting for cutt-off date that is closed to their priority date before they attempt to apply for an adjustment of status?

  36. Fahad
    January 13th, 2009 at 09:21 | #36

    Rajesh Nair,

This website is concerned with visa bulletins to the United States of America, not Saudi Arabia.

As for the residency visa in KSA, it’s fairly easy to obtain and your company’s will sort it out for you. You can try to bring your family members now on any visa category, as all visas are convertible while being in KSA.

Hi guys, I had promised when I get an appointment date I would say so. Well I did my PD only became current this January for the F1 category and I have an appointment for March this year but the only disappointment is that my brother didnt get his appointment and we were sponsored at the same time.

  48. PD240206
    January 20th, 2009 at 14:24 | #48

    MR.ESSA

Nobody here will be able to tell you when you will become current, the way the F visas are moving, dont look at anytime soon, but then again it could be next month. Predicting the visa bulletin is like weather prediction in the 12 century, mostly guessing, a little bit of luck and not one solid point of refernce. Sorry to rain on your parade. ( Punn intended )

    Hi ,

Our PD is November,1992 when it gonna have to wait the PD until now it almost 16 years waiting. We just want to know how long it will takes to wait. I know it takes only 10 years for F3 category to process the visa. Why is so long.

I would appreciate if you will prioritize my concern.

    Thank you very much.
